There Is a Light and It Never Goes Out - Braid
There should be a law that only Braid can cover the Smiths.
The best Smiths cover ever.
Braid’s “This Charming Man” cover is far superior to this. But still, this one ain’t bad.
Braid - Killing A Camera
I had plans but they never seemed to work out.
Yesterday was a good music day. I preordered these Braid reissues and I also found the new Aloha album, Home Acres, online. It is very good. I’m still feeling it out though. It is definitely more prog, yet also more straightforward, than their previous works. So far my favorite tracks are “Searchlight”, “Waterwheel”, and “Ruins”.Braid - The Chandelier Swing (live)
So for the first time in a very long time spending $50 on records is an issue because I’m currently broke because of the move, and of course this happens when the Braid Reissues pre order goes up. $50 for a package of all the new reisusses is an amazing deal. Total bumout. I picked up Age Of Octeen, and hopefully can grab some of the others next Friday when I’m no longer poor.
The City on Film (Bob Nanna) performing “A Dozen Roses” in New Brunswick, 2005 or so. I love the “chill vibe” of this version. This is part 2 of the video.
The City on Film (Bob Nanna) performing “A Dozen Roses” in New Brunswick. 2005-ish. This is part 1 (had to conserve memory!).
The City on Film (Bob Nanna) performing “(Strawberry Ann) Switzerland” in New Brunswick. 200… 5? Unfortunately I was low on memory so I couldn’t record the whole song. Anyhoo, enjoy!
If only learning Braid/Hey Mercedes songs would get me into grad school. That being said, I kind of want to start a Braid cover band now.
