My buddy and roommate Barnaby, Hardly Working turned me on to the wonders of 8tracks. I’ve put up one mix and I’m working on a few more (winter, awesome guitar solos, favorite songs over 7 minutes, etc.).
Peep this mix that I just posted. Featuring: Aloha, Prince, Husker Du, Love of Everything, Morrissey, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, James Chance & the Contortions, Cale Parks, Lemonade, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and more.

One of their best songs. The lyrics at the end of this song are fantastic. We Get Down - Aloha
Aloha - “Ruins” off of Home Acres
This song is also amazing! Definitely the most pop-rock-friendly song on the album.

- Aloha, “Ruins”
The last track (and also my favorite) off their new album, Home Acres.
Yesterday was a good music day. I preordered these Braid reissues and I also found the new Aloha album, Home Acres, online. It is very good. I’m still feeling it out though. It is definitely more prog, yet also more straightforward, than their previous works. So far my favorite tracks are “Searchlight”, “Waterwheel”, and “Ruins”.Braid - The Chandelier Swing (live)
So for the first time in a very long time spending $50 on records is an issue because I’m currently broke because of the move, and of course this happens when the Braid Reissues pre order goes up. $50 for a package of all the new reisusses is an amazing deal. Total bumout. I picked up Age Of Octeen, and hopefully can grab some of the others next Friday when I’m no longer poor.
Aloha - “Waterwheel” from Home Acres
The best band around these days.
