16mm short film how will we cross the seas end of the world relationships drama

A powerless Spader-Man wanders around Brooklyn with hopes of regaining his powers.

Starring Lee Berger. Directed and shot by Shaun Seneviratne.

This short was shot on the Bolex 16mm camera using 250D film. It was then projected and captured with a Canon 7D. All editing, with the exception of the titles and the hold at the end, was done in camera. As part of an assignment for Media Practices: Film Form at The New School.

The name comes from a series of bootleg Spider-Man action figures available at a flea market or Chinatown near you.

The song is “From Here On It Got Rough” by Hildegard Knef. Available from Marina Records on The In-Kraut - Hip Shaking Grooves Made in Germany from 1966-1974. To purchase, visit this link:marinarecords.com/inkraut1more.htm
